Museum of London
Our task was to create video content for a Museum of London exhibition showcasing the work of the first female press photographer, Christina Broom. Dealing with historical events or figures means that we had to be creative with the treatment of the story.
We were lucky enough to work with an archive of photographs, documents and footage from the early 20th century. Using interesting animation techniques such as parallaxing we were able to take Christina’s photos to curate and build into a new story and create movement and interest. As part of the Press Association we were well placed to be able to source spokespeople for interviews to provide an expert account of her work and the industry in which she set many precedents. We sourced the contributors, conducted the interviews and created the graphics as well as sourced the music. We were responsible for the entire concept in keeping with the gallery space.
The final film was featured in the exhibition at the Museum of London.
